MATERIAL
MANIPULATION
The project uses a variety of manipulation techniques to create innovative designs that are playful and tactile. Using traditional embroidery techniques, Wray has pushed the boundaries of embroidery to create unique designs that reflect a surreal narrative. The use of vibrant colours enhances the sculptural forms by showing contrasting elements.

PLASTIC
FANTASTIC
Wray collaborated with Oxfam to create a sustainable approach to design. Using the idea of upcycling, the project explored ways to bring a second life to single use plastic.
The final samples were visualised onto bum bags to be sold at Glastonbury Festival '19.
The project produced a variety of sculptural and embellished samples using plastic in different ways, including deforming with a heat gun and spray painting to add colour. Wray aimed to change the aesthetic of the plastic to show the potential of the single-use plastic in a design context, to ultimately raise awareness to plastic pollution.
